Mohler MMA fighter, Will Campuzano, defeated Steve Garcia King @ of the Kage in Austin, TX.
Will and Steve fought for 3 hard rounds. 1st round was pretty even while both gladiators
exchanged some vicious boxing combinations both landing some punishing shots. William began to
find his rhythm in the 2nd round as William was able to take down Steve at will. In the 3rd round Will
began to land some hard push kicks to Steves body and face. Will won via split decision! Way to go WILL!!!

Rd1: Terrance lands a big right to open the fight. Takedown to armbar attempt by Holmes.
Terrance fights out of a couple of submission attempts. The fight returns to standing and the round
ends.
Rd2: Terrance lands again. JJ with a take down. They exchange positions. JJ is winning on the ground.
Rd3: Terrance rocks JJ with a left. Holmes fights through it and gets another takedown. Controlling from the top JJ seems content to ride out the win..
Winner: JJ Holmes Unanimous Decision. JJ is now the 185lb Fight To Win Champion!!!

Coty Wheeler vs. Will Campuzano was the first bout on the
undercard of WEC: Varner vs. Henderson on January 10.
Will Campuzano and Coty "Ox" Wheeler fought hard for 3 rounds
(15 mins). Ox Wheeler attempted a couple of footlocks, kneebars,
and a guillotine choke. Will was able to defend all of Ox's
submissions attmepts. Campuzano made Wheeler pay
with devestating punch combinations, hammer-fist
ground-n-pound, several flashy kicks to the face,
and flying knees. Ox Wheeler absorbed a lot of
punishment, but Ox refused to give up.
Will Campuzano Defeats Coty "Ox" Wheeler by
Unanimous Decision at 5:00 in the 3rd round.

Johnny Bedford defeats Tim Snyder, rear-naked choke, 55 second mark of first round. Although this was a bantamweight fight, Bedford retains his SWC featherweight title.
Jason Sampson vs. Nate Garza
Jason Sampson defeats Nate Garza, first round rear-naked choke. Sampson is another up-and-comer that I can see making it into the WEC ranks sooner rather than later. Sampson was able to run through Garza with his high-level wrestling skills. I don't even think Sampson took a punch in this rout, which ended with a tight choke around the neck of Garza.

Round 1: Fighters come out and both miss leg kicks that go wild- each fighter has a table set up for them around the cage-a VERY nice touch by the Cage Kings and Grady's table are just screaming their heads off- he almost has to move and they are going nuts. Grady rocks Wes with a right and clinch to the cage- they exchange a bunch of knees and short jabs but Wes drops a little bit for a leg and Grady grabs a standing Guillotine!
Allen is working, but simply has no choice but to tap! 1:18 of round 1.

Round 1: Ladies come out- glove touch, they throw a few kicks and then settle in and Kelly pushes to the cage and some nice clinch work. They just let the knees FLY- hitting everywhere. Both fighters show some real skill in the clinch.
Kelly with a trip takedown and a little G&P as the round ends.
Round 2: The 2nd round starts the same way- few kicks then a clinch, only this time Amber is on top and after some NICE ground and pound- she spins into a SWEET armbar- Tappage!

Round 1: Jason came out and threw a superman punch, and Will
avoided the punch by moving back. Will came out aggressively and
threw an overhand right and kicked with right leg. Jason caught the
leg and dropped Will with a right hand. Jason kneed Will Mathis
with a knee that split his head open. Jason ended up in Will's guard and began the ground and pound. Will managed to get back to his feet, and took Jason down to the the ground with a single-leg. Jason went for a guillotine, but Will managed to get takedown. Jason jumped from guillotine to a triangle. Jason through over 20 punches to his head while he had Will in the Triangle. Will escaped the triangle and Jason scrambled up to his feet. Jason hit Will with a 1-2 combo and the bell rang
Round 2: Will was bleeding. Will came out and threw a right kick, and Jason caught
the kick, threw a right punch in the face which dropped Will. Will got up and tried to
shoot, but Jason sprawled punched him in the head. Jason tapped out Will with a Marce choke at 21 seconds in the 2nd round.
Jason added a new belt to his collection, and he is now the 145lb Extreme Combat League
Champion!

After having a very stressededful week do to William's management team, William stated that he wasn't sure if his head would be in the fight on Saturday. William started at a slow pace until TIM Snyder jumped all over William with a flurry of punches. Tim blinded William by cutting him under his eyes. Will kept his composure and mounted a full blown hands only attack. William began to out strike Tim, and it was only matter of time before Will landed the big shot.. William executed a beautiful combination that sent Tim to the floor. Tim grabbed William's ankle to while William hit Tim 6 to 7 times. Will stated, "TIM got TERMINATED!"

William had a very tough 1st round. Brian was throwing kicks at different angles, getting the takedowns, and even suplexed William. Round 1 went to Bryan Goldsby.
Round 2:
Bryan shot in for the takedown and took William to the mat. William is known for his dangerous striking skills, but on this night William was able to showcase his Jiu-Jitsu skills.
William was able to get one leg over Bryan's shoulder and worked really hard for the triangle. William stated, "It took me about a minute to finally sink the triangle in." William wins at 1:33 round 2 - triangle choke

Mohler MMA fighter William "Yum Yum" Campuzano showed once again why he is one of the top 135 pounders in Texas!
Round 1:
Both fighters touched gloves and it was on! Doug threw a stiff left jab that connected on Will. William kept his composure and began to get his rhythm. William began throwing combinations landing will! He began to soften up his opponent by throwing a couple of Thai Kicks to Doug's left thigh. William then threw a perfect straight right that dazed his opponent. William went in for the finish and threw 3 knees to the face that knocked out his opponent. The ref stepped in and stopped the fight in the 1st round!

Jeff Glover, Paragon Black Belt, stopped by Mohler Jiu-Jitsu Wednesday night (11-10-08) as a guest instructor. Jeff demonstrated some BJJ drills that he does on a daily basis, and he also showed several awesome techniques! Jeff walked around the class to answer any questions, and to make sure that all the students were executing the techniques properly.

Cage Kings
Destruction at the Dome

Last Friday night at the Horseshoe Casino Riverdome in Bossier City, LA, Cage Kings brought down the house with their second installment of fistic festivities, this one being labeled as, “Destruction at the Dome”. And again it was bloody mayhem at its finest leaving the fight fans salivating for more of the all out war waged in the cage.
The main event featured fan favorite and former Ring Rulers amateur champion Will Campuzano (3-0), who was taking on the then undefeated jiu-jitsu freak Jason Horak (2-1), in what was a technical yet entertaining fight.
Campuzano, who is usually a laid back fighter jumped right on Horak in the opening seconds of the bout attempting as flying knee, though mounted by Campuzano and eating three solid shots, Horak was able to defend against Will’s attack going for a submission via leg lock, then later with an ankle lock.
All though the attempted submission did have an ill affect on Campuzano, the tough Texan was able to take Horak’s back, and the two went back and forth. When the round was all said and done both combatants had their moments.
The second round would not be as prosperous for Horak as the round and fight came to a sudden halt when Campuzano landed a sick right hand that dropped Horak. Campuzano finished up with an assault of punches handing down Horak’s first professional loss via (KO), earning Campuzano his third consecutive victory at the time of :38 in the second.
After the bout the victor gave props to Horak stating, “my hats off to Jason, it was a tough fight but I am not a quitter.”
A defeated Horak simply told the fans, “every fighter gets caught, he (Campuzano) was the better man tonight.”

Both fighters exchange punches in the center of the ring and end up in the clinch. Johnny goes for the leg trip and ends up in the mount. Johnny tries to stablize his dominate position while Joshua attempts to escape the mount. Johnny begins to soften up his opponent by punching his opponent. Joshau escpaes the mount position and ends up in Johnny's guard for a couple of seconds. Johnny quickly reverses his opponent and begins to punish his opponent with a wave of punches. Joshua turns to his stomach to avoid further punishment. Johnny takes advantage of the situation and takes Joshua's back. Johnny gets full back control and sinks in the Rear Naked Choke. Johnny's opponent taps due to a rear naked choke in the 1st round! Go Johnny!!!

Seth shoots for a single leg takedown, but William is able to get back to his feet. William jumps for a Guillotine choke and squeezes until Seth passes out! William wins by KO Submission! Go Will!

William Campuzano wins his pro debut in 48 sec (by TKO) in the 1st round @ Cage Kings!
1st Round - William came out very aggressively punishing his opponent with hard punches, knees, and kicks.The two combatants were clinched up against the fence both going for the takedown. William got the takedown and threw an avalanche of elbows, knees, and a few kicks to the thighs. The ref stopped the fight at 48 secs of the 1st round! Congrats William!!!

Coach Mohler promoted Kelly Rundle to brown belt. Coach Mohler said that....From the first day Kelly walked into the gym he was like family and that Kelly is one of his hardest working students... always competing in Jiu-Jitsu & MMA fighting men half his age. The KOTC event was out doors and hot!!! Kirk Gibson circled Christian Sanchez, (Little Otiz) as he backed up to the cage. Kirk took him down with a body lock, mounted, and unleashed an avalanche of downward punches. Kirks’ opponent gave up his back, and Kirk finished his opponent with RNC in 40 sec of the first round.

Kirk Gibson faced Clayton Marrs at the Free Style Cage Fighting event. Clayton was the coach for UFC fighter David Heath. Kirk fought Clayton in his home town in front of all his students. Kirk was focused and ready!
- 1st round Clayton was able to take Kirk down after two head shot's that didn't connect. He was unable to pass Kirk’s guard!! Most of the first round was in Kirk’s Guard.
- 2nd rd Kirk and Clayton came out kicking then Kirk threw another head shot to be taken down again. Kirk reversed him, got side control then tried a thumb choke from mount but lost the position. The ref then had both combatants stand again. Kirk faked a right hand which made his head dip, and then came in with a flying knee that sent Clayton to the canvas. Kirk fired off 3 shots until the ref stopped the fight!
Kirk Gibson will fight Kenny Giddens July 26th in Tulsa (FCF) for the right to fight Jason Maxwell for the belt. Good Luck Kirk!!!

Sunia Filikitonga wins via TKO (Strikes) at 0:41 in the 1st round.
Super heavyweights Sunia Filikitonga and Thomas Naylor came
together in a matchup of two men with a combined weight of 589 pounds. I
t was Filikitonga, of Dallas, Texas, who used his fists to prove how hard
and quickly fellow big man Naylor could fall.
Quickly pushing his opponent against the ropes, 300-pound Filikitonga
landed crushing right after crushing right, causing referee Jenkins to
step between fighters for the third time of the night. The record says
that Thomas Naylor of Houston lost his pro debut 41 seconds into his first round.

Coach Mohler promoted his student Steven Hall to brown belt. Coach Mohler said that "giving Steven a brown belt was one of the proudest moment as a coach". His character, work ethic, performance and technique was worthy of Brown belt. Steven Has been all over the world competing in this past year proving himself.'

Marcus Hicks is Wins Again at the WEC!!!
Ed Ratcliff vs. Marcus Hicks Round 1
Hicks cracked Ratcliff with a left hand that buckled his knees and sent him to the canvas. When Ratcliff stood, Hicks slapped on a deep standing guillotine, but Ratcliff escaped danger. Hicks blasted away with two left haymakers. Another guillotine followed, which forced Ratcliff to tapout at 1:42 of the first round.
Marcus also wins submission of the night from UFCs Dana White!!!

Johnny wins the 2008 Dallas Golden Gloves!!!
Johnny made a goal for himself over two years ago. His goal was to fight and win the 2008 Dallas Golden Gloves. At age 34 Johnny Lozano fought Thurs, Fri, and Satruday night to win the Dallas Golden Gloves (18-34 Adult Division).
Johnny stated, "I would like to thank my boxing coach George Prevalsky for his patience and boxing instruction. I would also like to thank my teammates Shawn Winters, Reza Anvarian, Luis (Lennon) Torres, Gaylan Flemons, and Tom Blanc. I would like to give a special thanks to Charles Brown for cornering/coaching me in all three of my fights. Thank you Allen Mohler for all your support (I'll be back in Jiu-Jitsu soon). Thank you to all my family, friends, and other teammates who supported me as well."

Steven Hall wins the 2008 EUROPEAN JIUJITSU CHAMPIONSHIPS in LISBON , PORTUGAL
Stephan Hall flew to Portugal to compete in the 2008 European JiuJitsu
Championships! After the airlines losing his luggage, having to rent a gi,
and borrow a purple belt, Steve kept his cool and kept focuced for his
upcoming matches.
Stephen hall won the absolute divisoin with 6 subs plus his division
( senior 1 heavyweight ) with 3 subs in the Purple Belt divisoin.

MOHLER MMA FIGHTER, CHRIS JONES, DEFEATS ROY SPOON TO BECOME THE XK0 LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!
Round 1: Both fighters touched gloves in the center of the ring and it was fight time. Both fighters exchanged low inside kicks, and then Roy Spoon attempted a double-leg takedown. Chris Jones sprawled against the fence, and was able to keep it standing. Roy had Chris pinned up against the fence, and finally got a takedown and ended up in Chris' half-guard. Chris was able to reverse the position, and got Chris took Roy's back to attempt a rear naked choke. Roy was able to defend the choke, and Chris ended up on his back. Chris secured Roy's right arm and went for the Triangle Choke. Chris did the figure four with his legs, and began to pull Roy's head down while lifting up his hips to tighten up the choke. Chris submitted Roy with a Triangle Choke in the 1st round! Chris is now the XK0 Lightweight Champion!!!

Team Mohler/Alliance sent several grapplers to compete in the World Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship in California this past weekend! Team Mohler brought back several medals!

Jason Sampson wins his Pro Boxing debut!!!
Pro MMA fighter Jason Sampson made his Pro Boxing debut this past Thursday. He was
supposed to box another MMA fighter, but Jason's opponent was changed at the last minute!
Jason ended up fighting a 6`1 158lbs boxer to a split decision!
Jason Sampson is now 7-0 as a Pro MMA fighter, and 1-0 as a Pro Boxer!

Scott Nye won his fight at the Sigma Chi Fight Night 2010 XXIII at Cowboys in Arlington, TX. Scott made an awesome display of the "Sweet Science" by throwing beautiful combinations at his opponent. Winner: Alliance (Mohler Jiu Jitsu) – It seems that almost every fighter in the North Texas area trains at Alliance -- either partially, previously or exclusively. They put out well-rounded fighters and keep a stockpile of good talent that helps perpetuate a high level. Fighters succeed at every level, all the way from local amateur to the UFC.
Professional Fighter of the Year
Winner: Chris Jones – Jones' last fight was a dismantling of one of the area's hardest hitters, Roy Spoon. Jones controlled the cage and really showed a knack for the scramble. While Jones has not been the most active fighter in 2010, he represented the sport with such class and sportsmanship that he gets a narrow nod for this award. Hopefully spectators will have numerous chances to watch Jones defend his XKO title often in 2011.
Honorable Mention: Jason Sampson, Joseph Christopher, Johnny Bedford, Chas Skelly.
MMA Celebrity of the Year
Runner up: Will Campuzano – The Mohler fighter made the cut into the UFC and recently lost in the third round of a hard-fought match against Nick Pace. Hopefully Dana White acts on his impulses to add a Flyweight division, as Campuzano is probably a better fit at 125.

Scott Nye defeated Daylan Jackson (a boxer from Garland PAL Boxing Gym) this past Wednesday to advance to the next round in the 2011 Dallas Golden Gloves tournament. Scott fought a back and forth battle against a very good opponent, and he was able to win the match! Congrats Scott!!!

Time of Stoppage: 024 RD 2
Though it was his professional debut Holmes put on a virtuoso performance
against Saekson –trained Cheatham. Holmes wasted little time in kicking
things off with a cage-rattling slam seconds into the fight. Cheatham never
seemed to get his bearings as Holmes caused damage throughout the
opening stanza. Things ended quickly in round two as Holmes connected
with a straight right hand that put Cheatham on the mat. The follow up ground
and pound put Cheatham down and out for the night.

CHRIS JONES RETAINS XKO WELTERWEIGHT TITLE
Jones and Pecro had a back and forth battle that lasted 3 rounds. This fight went back and forth and the crowd was on their feet! In round 3 Jones landed a head kick that wobbled Pecro. Jones jumped on Pecro and threw and avalanche of punches which forced the ref to stop the fight! Chris Jones defeated Chris Pecero via TKO RD 3!
JJ HOMLES VS HAYWARD CHARLES
Landing some hard hooks and a few brain-scrambling knees that put Holmes on his heels, Charles put on a performance against Holmes. However, Holmes is respected for a reason and the Mohler-trained fighter rallied back to end the round rocking Charles with a number of thunderous punches.
Holmes came out in round two and secured a quick single leg takedown. But while Holmes may be at home on the mat, Charles seemed equally as comfortable on his back and looked to land a triangle choke. With Holmes able to defend Charles’ submission attempts the pace slowed as both fighters were visibly fatigued. However, it was Holmes’ who was able to dig down deeper and after working to get Charles in a crucifix unleashed a murderous salvo of elbows that put Charles out for the night and Holmes into the winner circle. Round 2: Jason hit Randy with a 3-2 combo (left hook/straight right) that knocked Randy to the floor. Jason jumped on Randy delivering an avalanche of punches forcing the ref to stop the fight within 30 seconds of the 2nd round!

Boxing Coach, Johnny Lozano, took two of his students
(Scott Nye and Mack White) to fight at the 24th Annual Sigma Chi Fight Night in Arlington, TX this past Thursday night. Johnny's assistant coach, Alex Pelham, was there to help warm up and corner the fighters.
This was Scott Nye's 3rd year in a row representing Team Mohler. Scott knocked down his opponent in the 1st round and outboxed his opponent. Scott's opponent came back strong in the 2nd round, but he wasn't able to do any damage to Scott. Scott then beginning to dominate his opponent in the 3rd round punishing his opponent with punches. Scott then hit his opponent with a body shot forcing the ref to stop the fight! Scott wins his fight via TKO 3rd round!
Mack White made his boxing debut this night. Mack and his opponent came out swinging hard in the 1st round...both boxing landing some hard shots. Round 2 - Mack round his rhythm and began to pepper his opponent with Jabs wearing down his opponent. Round 3 - Mack hit his opponent with a left Jab to the body, and a straight right to the head knocking his opponent out! Mack White wins via KO in the 3rd round!!!
